First and second grade students in Mrs. Cassidy's class learn to read and write and produce video which is included on their classroom blog. This class blog features yackpack for conversations with the class, YouTube video of classroom projects, an animoto movie of students making Mother's Day projects , and video edited at onetruemedia.com. This is a rich media site for first graders!

Here is a little snippet from a recent post: "We've been anxiously waiting for our chicken eggs to hatch. They should be hatching next Monday, the 18th. Today when we opened the incubator to turn them, we found that one of the eggs had exploded, leaving yellow yolk on the sides and bottom of the incubator. What makes an egg explode? We don't know, do you? If you do, let us know by emailing cassidy.kathy@prairiesouth.ca. We'd love to have you comment, but comments have not been getting through to my blog. (Fortunately, this does not seem to be the case with the students' blogs.)"
