You will find two types of footers: those at the end of each post, and sometimes, though less often, a footer at the end of the main blog window. As of this writing I have not included the later. But such a footer at the end of the main page could be a convenient way of presenting links, contact information, or branding for a blog. Footers, like banners, typically remain constant, rarely changing.
However, you will notice that at the end of every post in The Geek Glossary is a footer that tells you who published the post (convenient when your blog has multiple authors), the date and time the post was published, the permanent link to the post, and a link to comment and read comments.
